What an amazing example of what Napa Chardonnay can be. Steve Matthiasson's style of winemaking is something different and his aversion to anything big and buttery is a breath of fresh air. Think golden delicious apples, full-of-juice yellow peaches, muskmelon, and a drop of honey. Medium but precise acidity is balanced by pleasant fleshiness, finishing very clean with a hint of minerality just to lift it up on the final taste.
