Sweet wine is made by stopping the fermentation before the yeast converts all grape sugars into alcohol. This means the rich wine is sweetened with natural grape sugars. We have 2 dessert wines in our collection:
- Late Harvest Billet Doux, 37.5cl, Morlet, Alexander Valley AVA: this is a luscious, rich and delicious wine. Sweet tangerines, mint, floral notes and light honey come at you initially.- II Padrone 50cl, Oak Farm, Lodi AVA: this is a powerful fortified Zinfandel dessert wine; full, rich and luscious. You start off with dried fruit, caramel, and nutty vanilla, and end with lingering flavours of cocoa bitterness and caramelised figs.
